I am sincerely humbled and eternally grateful for the opportunity to serve Oziel Grand Chapter. I do not take it lightly, for without you, the purpose for my existence, in the capacity of Grand Worthy Matron, would be moot.
As we should build upon positive and progressive concepts, we utilize the theory of “If it ain’t broke, don’t try and fix it.” That being said, we are excited about the launch of our, not newly constructed, but overhauled website. This is due to the tenacity of our awesome Secretarial Staff and Technology Team. Let’s give them well deserved accolades!
One dynamic group that needs no reinventing is Our Past Grand Worthy Matrons and our Past Grand Worthy Patrons.

We acknowledge you on today, for you are, on whose shoulders we stand. Continue in your practice to instill in us, pride and good character. Remain relentless in your delivery of frank and no-nonsense advice.
Worthy Matrons and Worthy Patrons, we shall work together in moving Oziel Grand Chapter upward and onward. I know that you will make every effort to demonstrate poise and decorum…..actions which shall motivate and sustain your Chapter membership. To all of those who have been elected or appointed to the Grand labyrinth and the various Grand committees, I am confident that you will assist in propelling this Grand Chapter to higher heights, whereby, in keeping with this administration’s motto;

Committed to Serve, Willing to Work  and Passionate about the Undertaking
Sisters and Brothers I am declaring that this Oziel body will be flying under a “no tolerance” “no drama” radar. We must encourage one another to portray characters of loyalty and integrity and to disavow distasteful behavior. Our fraternal doctrine reminds us that there are policies, procedures and bylaws, by which we must be governed. Tact, the art of encountering any situation in a tasteful and decent manner is what defines our character.

Our theme for this administration;
Defining Loyalty and Integrity;
Let Your Work and Your Walk Speak for You, For You Never Know Who is Watching

We are ecstatic at the idea of working closely with our Brothers of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge. Sisters, let’s embrace our fraternal brothers. They are our coverage; protectors of a most precious treasure……We, the Women of our great Order.

Adorn, close to your heart, our flower for this administration, the “red dahlia”. The Dahlia brings meaningful blessings and messages of enduring grace. It is a symbol of our inner strength.
Our emblem is the “Ladybug”. The appearance of a Ladybug heralds a time of joy. We are happy to be a part of the Prince Hall family. Also, it suggests that attaining higher goals are now possible. So let’s ascend towards excellence, remaining humble along the way.

Sisters and Brothers, Pray for each other and Pray for Bro. Clifton J. Hardy, Grand Worthy Patron and myself, that we remain grounded and maintain humility. Pray for each other and Pray for us to wear the armor of forbearance, demonstrating the act of self-control and practicing patience, before any administrative action. Pray for each other and Pray for us when we have succeeded, that we shall remain modest. Pray each other and Pray for us when we have missed a beat, that we may rise above it and forge ahead. Pray for each other and Pray for us in our travels, as we move about, within this and other Jurisdictions. Pray without ceasing.

My Beloved Sisters and Brothers, be bold and spirited in your quest to press toward the mark. Romans 8:37 reminds us that we are more than conquerors. We are surely victorious!

Peace and Blessings,
Sis. Audrey M. Hopkins
Grand Worthy Matron
